The Burndy AMS250 is a tin-plated aluminum set-screw splice/reducer built for dual-rated Al/Cu conductor connections from 6 AWG up to 250 kcmil. It accepts 6 AWG-4/0 AWG stranded aluminum conductors, 6 AWG-250 kcmil stranded copper conductors, and 4 AWG-4/0 AWG solid copper conductors, secured by 4 set screws. A solid center barrier keeps aluminum and copper conductors separated to prevent contact between dissimilar metals. The AMS250 is UL Listed to UL467 and CSA Certified for commercial and industrial electrical installations.
