2) What wire sizes fit the Burndy AMS250 set-screw splice?
Ranges differ by conductor type. Stranded aluminum lands from 6 AWG up to 4/0 AWG. Stranded copper goes from 6 AWG up to 250 kcmil. Solid copper is 4 AWG through 4/0 AWG.
