Cahaba CA401005 Zeya 65 in. Freestanding Acrylic Tub

Plan for a footprint of 65 inches long by 29-1/8 inches wide, standing 28-3/8 inches tall. Because it's freestanding, all four sides are finished and it needs clearance around the whole perimeter, not just the front. In a standard 60 inch alcove it will not fit end to end, so this one goes in an open bathroom layout or a wet room.

Either. Drain placement is reversible, so the same tub works whether your waste rough-in sits at the left or right end of the run. That matters on a remodel where you're keeping the existing floor penetration: you can orient the tub to the plumbing instead of moving the drain.

The tub ships with the pop-up drain and waste overflow already installed, so you're not sourcing a drain kit. You do need a faucet, since none is included and the tub has no faucet holes drilled. You'll also want the flexible P-trap, model CA401FLEX, which is sold separately and is what connects the tub waste down through the floor.

Your choice. The tub deck is drilled with no faucet holes, which leaves the faucet decision entirely to the room: wall mounted, deck mounted, or a freestanding floor mount tub filler all work. The trade-off is that the supply rough-in has to be located before the tub is set, since there's no hole in the tub dictating where it goes.

Water depth is 14-3/16 inches to the overflow, which holds roughly 52-8/9 gallons. The basin itself measures 42.5 inches long by 19.69 inches wide with a 17.31 inch basin depth. The slipper shape means the length at the rim is longer than the flat basin bottom, so a taller bather gets the reclined end rather than a full 65 inches of stretch-out room.

The tub weighs 79.4 lbs dry, which is why acrylic gets specified over cast iron on upper floors and in multi-family retrofits. It's fiberglass-reinforced acrylic, so one or two people can carry it up a stairwell without rigging. Filled weight is the water, not the shell: at about 52-8/9 gallons that's the load the framing actually sees.

No feet on show. The Zeya rides on concealed, adjustable leveling legs hidden behind the acrylic skirt, so the tub reads as sitting directly on the floor. The adjustment in those legs is what takes up an out-of-level bathroom floor, which is common in older buildings, without shimming under a finished surface.

The tub is the same either way, glossy white acrylic in an oval slipper form. The only choice is the drain finish: chrome or white. White gives you a drain and overflow trim that disappears into the tub surface; chrome reads as a deliberate metal accent and is the one to pick if the faucet and supply lines are chrome.

It's a soaking tub, not a combo. There are no faucet holes for a diverter spout, no wall to hang a shower valve on since it stands free of the surround, and the rim geometry is oval slipper rather than the straight-sided apron a shower curtain or glass panel needs. For a unit that takes a shower riser, specify an alcove or drop-in tub instead.

Acrylic is a non-porous surface, so soap film wipes off with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner. Skip scouring powders, scrub pads, and solvent-based cleaners; they dull the glossy white finish and the gloss is the whole point of the surface. For rental turns and hospitality properties that's the maintenance note worth passing to housekeeping, since a single pass with the wrong pad leaves permanent haze.
