1) What inlet and outlet sizes do the Cahaba CCLSSL straight bath supplies use?
The CCLSSL risers take a 1/2 inch compression inlet at the bottom and finish with a 3/4 inch compression outlet at the top, with a 1/2 inch tube diameter in between. So you are landing on 1/2 inch compression stops below the deck and connecting 3/4 inch compression faucet shanks above. If your tub faucet uses 1/2 inch IPS shanks or threaded connections, these are the wrong supplies.
2) Are shut-off stops included with the Cahaba CCLSSL bath supplies?
No. Stops are not included, so order 1/2 inch compression angle or straight stops separately to match the 1/2 inch inlet. Mounting hardware for the supplies themselves is included, including the 2-1/2 inch diameter bottom flange that covers the deck penetration.
3) Which Cahaba tub faucet are these straight supplies made to go with?
They are specified for use with the Cahaba Traditional Rim-Mounted Tub Faucet, model CCLRM01ORB, and they coordinate with Cahaba tub waste and overflow fixtures. They are intended for faucets mounted to the tub deck or rim, not for floor-mounted or wall-mounted tub fillers.
4) Will 24 inch bath supply risers reach from my floor stops up to a deck-mounted tub faucet?
Riser height is 24 inches overall, measured from the flange to the outlet. That covers a typical freestanding or skirted tub where the stops sit just above the floor and the faucet lands on the tub rim. Measure from the top of your stop to the underside of the faucet shank; if that distance is more than 24 inches these will not reach, and if it is well under, the extra length has to be cut or hidden.
5) Are these straight supplies or exposed P-trap style risers, and when would I want the straight type?
These are straight risers, a single run of 1/2 inch brass tube from the stop up to the faucet with no offset. Straight is what you want when the stop sits more or less directly below the faucet shank. If your supply stubs are offset from the faucet centers, straight tube will not bridge the gap and you need an offset or flexible riser instead.
6) What finishes do the Cahaba CCLSSL bath supplies come in?
Two: oil rubbed bronze and satin nickel. Both are solid brass underneath, so the exposed riser holds up to handling and cleaning in a rental or hospitality bath rather than being a plated thin-wall tube. Pick the finish that matches the tub faucet and the waste and overflow trim, since all three are visible on a deck-mounted setup.
7) Do I need one or two of these bath supplies for a two-handle tub faucet?
One CCLSSL supply covers one line. A deck-mounted two-handle tub filler needs hot and cold, so order two, plus two 1/2 inch compression stops since stops are not supplied with them.
8) How much room does the flange on these bath supplies need at the floor?
The bottom flange is 2-1/2 inches in diameter, which is also the widest footprint on the part. Keep that much clear around each supply penetration, and keep the two risers far enough apart that the flanges do not collide.
