Callan 1-3/4" x 2-1/4" Full Lip Entry Strike (Square Corner) - Style 9102

The 9102 strike plate measures 1-3/4 x 2-1/4 inches with square corners, and the two mounting holes are 2-1/4 inches center-to-center. That center-to-center figure is the one that matters when you are replacing an existing strike: if the screw holes in your jamb are on 2-1/4 inch centers, this drops straight onto them without redrilling.

Square corner only. That has to match the prep in your jamb: a radius corner mortise will leave gaps at the corners under a square plate, and a square mortise leaves the plate loose in a radius cut. Look at the existing strike or the routed pocket before ordering, because the corner style is not adjustable.

A few different directions depending on why it does not fit. For a commercial hollow metal frame with an ASA prep, the Cal-Royal ASA478 template ASA strike is the standard-size answer. If you actually want a roller latch rather than a plain strike, the ABH 1890 Series comes with a full lip cast strike and 5/16 inch adjustable projection, and the ABH 1895 Series uses a T strike with 1/2 inch adjustable projection. For a glass door with a CL4000 or CL4500 lock, the Codelocks CL4000-RSB strike box is the matching part, none of the plate strikes will work there.

Three finishes: US15 Satin Nickel, US3 Polished Brass, and US10B Aged Bronze, all in the square corner version. Pick the one matching the knobs or levers already on the opening, since a strike sits in plain view on the jamb whenever the door is open.

A full lip strike has an extended lip that wraps out from the plate to cover the edge of the jamb, so the latchbolt rides up the lip and into the pocket instead of catching on the trim. Use one where the latch needs guiding in, on entry doors with a lip already present on the old plate. If the jamb has no lip cut and you only want a flat plate in the mortise, a full lip strike like the 9102 is the wrong shape for that prep.

For an apartment or multi-family portfolio, the 9102 works as a standard entry strike where the jambs share the same 2-1/4 inch on-center screw pattern and square corner prep, and one of the three finishes covers the trim already on your doors. It is a commercial grade part, so it is intended for entry traffic rather than light residential passage use.
