That's exactly what the 10-026 full lip strike is built for. It's a factory Schlage replacement strike listed for the A Series, plus the CS210 and S200 locks. If you're swapping a beat-up strike on an A53PD or similar A Series cylindrical lock, this is the matching part rather than a generic strike you have to file to fit.

The 10-026 measures 1-5/8 x 2-1/4 inches with square corners. If the strike you're pulling off the frame is the same 1-5/8 x 2-1/4 square-corner footprint, it drops straight in with no frame work. If your existing strike has radius corners or a different face size, the mortise in the jamb won't match and you'll be cutting metal. Measure the old plate face before ordering, not the box.

A full lip strike has an extended curved lip that wraps out past the plate to guide the latch in and protect the door casing from the latch bolt dragging. It's the right choice on a wood-jamb opening where the door stop and trim take a beating, or where the door is settling slightly and the latch needs help finding the hole. A T-strike or a plain box strike has little or no lip and is used where the frame is tight to the door or where a full lip would foul the stop. The 10-026 is the full lip version.

Eight finishes: 605 bright brass, 609 antique brass, 612 satin bronze, 613 oil rubbed bronze, 619 satin nickel, 620 antique nickel, 622 matte black, and 626 satin chrome. Match the strike to the lock's BHMA finish code, not to the name, since names vary between makers and the number doesn't. If your A Series locks are 626, order the 626 strike. Schlage parts are finish specific, so a strike in the wrong code will read as a mismatch on the jamb even from across the room.

If the openings are A Series, CS210, or S200 with the 1-5/8 x 2-1/4 square-corner prep, then yes, the 10-026 is a single line item you can keep on the shelf and hand to maintenance. Buy it in the finish that dominates your building and it covers the routine strike replacements. The catch is finish: doors done in a different code need that code's strike, so most fleets end up stocking two rather than one.

The 10-026 is sold as the strike plate itself. Screws are commonly reused from the strike being replaced, and if the jamb already has a dust box or a bored frame pocket behind the old strike, that stays in place. On a fresh frame with no pocket, you're drilling for the latch and the strike lip does the rest on a wood jamb.
