1) Can I use the Corbin Russwin ED2200 on a fire rated opening?
No. This ED2200 configuration is a non fire rated panic device. For a labeled fire door you need fire exit hardware without dogging, such as the Marks USA M9900F in 48 inch or the Dexter ED1000 fire rated rim device.
2) Do I have to specify handing when ordering the ED2200 exit only device?
No handing needed. The ED2200 exit only device is non-handed, so one part number covers left and right hand openings. Handing only comes into play on ED2000 devices ordered with lever trim or double cylinder, and this is a device-only, exit only configuration with no outside trim.
3) My door is thicker than standard. Does the ED2200 come for a 2 inch or 2-1/4 inch door?
