Yes. The FE5400S multi-point latch system is built for doors 36 to 48 inches wide and 84 inches tall, with a standard door thickness of 1-3/4 inches (44mm). The standard push bar is 36 inches and fits 30 to 36 inch doors, so on a wider leaf you order the optional 48 inch bar. Bars can also be field cut. Anything outside that width range is not this device.
2) Is the Corbin Russwin FE5400S fire rated, and can I use it on a 3 hour door?
Both a fire rated and a non-fire rated version are built. The fire rated model is UL and cUL Listed as 3-hour fire exit hardware, and the non-fire rated model is listed panic hardware. The device carries ANSI/BHMA A156.3 Grade 1, is NFPA 101 and NFPA 80 compliant and California State Fire Marshal approved. Pick the fire rated model when the opening is in a rated wall; the fire rated version has no mechanical dogging in service, so specify accordingly.
