The Corbin Russwin FE5400S Multi-Point Exit Device Latch System is an extra-heavy-duty, exit-only panic hardware solution engineered to secure community shelter entries against the most extreme weather events, including EF5 tornadoes with winds up to 250 mph and 15 lb. projectile impacts at 100 mph. Featuring a three-point deadlocking system that automatically engages at the top, center, and bottom latch points when the door is closed, this device fortifies the opening with extra-heavy-duty steel components and high-tensile-alloy fasteners. Rated ANSI/BHMA A156.3 Grade 1 (2025) and UL-cUL Listed for fire doors up to and including 3-hour ratings, the FE5400S is UL Classified in accordance with FEMA P-320 (2014), FEMA P-361 (2015), and ICC 500 (2014), and is Florida Building Code Windstorm Certified. Designed for doors 36" to 48" wide and 84" tall with a standard door thickness of 1-3/4", this device ships less trim and is compatible with a variety of trim styles and finishes.
