The 2705-TB takes cable from 0.910 to 1.150 inch outside diameter (23.114 to 29.21 mm). Measure the jacket OD, not the conductor size. Anything under 0.910 inch will not be gripped properly by the chuck and you need a smaller connector body.

It is a 1-1/2 inch NPT male thread with 20.64 mm of thread length, so it threads straight into a 1-1/2 inch NPT hub, box opening or conduit body. For a smaller opening you need either a reducing bushing or a smaller connector.

The 2705-TB is suitable for hazardous locations where general purpose equipment is specifically permitted by the NEC: Class I Div 2, Class II Div 1 and 2, and Class III Div 1 and 2, per NEC 501-4(b), 502-4(a)(b) and 503-3(a)(b). It is not a Class I Div 1 fitting. It also meets Coast Guard CG293, which matters on marine and shipboard work.

The 2705-TB is a straight cord connector, meaning the cord exits in line with the threaded hub. If the cord has to turn immediately at the enclosure, for instance against a wall with no room to bend, a right angle cord grip is the better fitting.
