The Dearborn P9702DFB is IAPMO listed and meets ASTM F 409, the standard covering thermoplastic non-pressure drain fittings and tubular products. Those are the two things an inspector or a spec writer looks for on a plastic tubular trap.

The P9702DFB is a complete bagged kit: 1-1/2 inch P-trap, PVC quarter bend, solvent weld adapter and deep flange in one bag. The joints are ground joint type, meaning the trap sections seal on machined mating surfaces drawn together by the slip nuts rather than relying on a compressed rubber gasket. You still supply the tailpiece from the sink drain if the existing one is not reusable, plus solvent cement for the PVC adapter.

1-1/2 inch is the tubular size used for kitchen sink drains, and 1-1/4 inch is the usual lavatory size, so confirm what your tailpiece and stub-out actually are before ordering. The deep flange is the escutcheon that covers the wall opening where the trap arm passes through. It is white polypropylene, not metal. Polypropylene will not corrode from drain cleaners or hard water the way thin-wall chrome-plated brass does, which is why it is a common choice for lavatory traps in apartments and multi-family units. The tradeoff is appearance: on an exposed pedestal or wall-hung sink where the trap is visible, a chrome trap looks better. Under a vanity cabinet, plastic is the usual call.
