OATEY P9722 Dearborn® 1-1/2" S-Trap w/ PVC Threaded Adapter

The P9722 is a 1-1/2 inch S-trap with slip joint connections, so it mates to standard 1-1/2 inch tubular drain and tailpiece. Three slip joint nuts and two washers come with it, so the trap-to-tailpiece and trap-to-adapter joints are covered without buying loose nuts.

A P-trap turns out horizontally into a wall drain. An S-trap like the P9722 turns back down, so it is what you use when the drain leaves through the floor rather than the wall. Common on older pedestal sinks and floor-drained fixtures. If your waste stub comes out of the wall, an S-trap is the wrong shape and you want a P-trap instead.

Yes. The P9722 ships with the PVC threaded adapter, so the outlet side lands on PVC without a separate fitting purchase.
