Delaney Hardware BD0804 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What comes in the Delaney BD0804 barn door pull combo?
Two pieces for one barn door: a 12 inch finger pull and a round flush-mount handle, both in US19 Black. The long finger pull goes on the leading edge or face for sliding the door, and the round flush pull sits recessed so nothing sticks out. Sold as model BD0804.
2) Why do barn doors need a flush pull instead of a regular door knob?
A sliding barn door passes right along the wall, so anything that projects will hit the jamb, the trim, or the wall itself. Flush-mount hardware like the Delaney BD0804 set recesses into the door face, which is why the round handle in the combo is flush rather than a knob. The 12 inch finger pull gives you something to grip along the door edge without adding projection.
