Delta Breez VFRU-25-12DA – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Does this Delta Breez duct come with the backdraft damper or do I have to buy it separately?
The damper is included with the VFRU-25-12DA. It is sold as the 4 inch metal duct including damper, so you are not sourcing a separate backdraft flapper to keep outside air from coming back down the run.
2) Is this a replacement part or the whole Delta Breez exhaust fan?
This is the duct component only, the 4 inch metal duct with damper for the Signature series. It is what you order to replace a damaged or missing duct collar assembly, not the fan housing, motor or grille.
3) I manage apartments with Delta Breez Signature fans on multiple units. Is this the right part to stock for duct repairs?
If the fans are Signature G1 or G2 (VFB25ACH, VFB25ADH, VFB25AEH, SIG80, SIG80D, SIG110), the VFRU-25-12DA is the one duct-and-damper part that covers all of them, so a single line item serves the whole fleet of those openings. Fans from other Breez collections use their own duct assemblies.
4) My existing bath fan ductwork is 6 inch. Can I still use a Delta Breez Signature fan with this 4 inch duct?
Yes. The Signature fan ships with a 6 inch to 4 inch duct reducer, so a 4 inch outlet like this one can be tied into an existing 6 inch run. On new work, running the full 6 inch where you can will keep static pressure down, but the reducer makes the 4 inch connection workable either way.
5) Will this duct work on a Delta Breez SIG110 as well as an 80 CFM Signature fan?
Yes, the same 4 inch metal duct covers both airflow settings. The Signature fan switches between 80 and 110 CFM on the same housing, and the SIG80, SIG80D and SIG110 are all listed as taking this duct assembly.
6) Where can I get the install and spec documents for the Delta Breez Signature VFB25 fan duct?
Delta publishes both an installation manual for the VFB25 fan and a VFB25AEH spec sheet, and ZenSupply hosts them alongside the VFRU-25-12DA duct. The manual is the document that shows how the duct and damper seat on the housing.
