Deltana BBN2001 Toilet Paper Holder, Single Post, BBN Series

If you want a solid brass or bronze body with a bar-style roller, Emtek offers paper holders in Modern Brass, Traditional Brass, Transitional Brass and Sandcast Bronze bath hardware series. For another single post, the Sure-Loc Brighton Single Post Paper Holder is the closest direct equivalent in form. If you prefer a plastic-tube roller you can replace cheaply, Orca Hardware's 2752 Cypress and 4852 Blakely holders both ship with a plastic tube. Orca's 3655 Swirl and 5255 Ripple are Euro open-hook types instead.

The Sure-Loc Brighton BT-PH1 is also a single post paper holder, so it mounts and loads the same way as the Deltana BBN2001 single post holder - one wall bracket with an open post the roll slides onto, no spring-loaded roller to lose. The Deltana is a zinc and aluminum piece in the BBN bathroom accessory series; the Sure-Loc comes from its Brighton series, so the base and post styling differ between them.

The BBN2001 is a single post design, so the roll slides onto an open post rather than riding on a roller. If you want a roller, Orca Hardware offers the 2752 Cypress and the 4852 Blakely, both of which ship with a plastic tube the roll mounts on. A tube style is captive between two arms, so the roll cannot be lifted straight off the way it can on a single post.

A single post holder mounts on one wall bracket with the roll cantilevered off a single arm, so you can drop a roll on from the open end without removing anything. A two-post type, like the Sure-Loc Basic 2-Post Paper Holder, spans two brackets with a roller between them and needs the roller pulled out to change the roll. Euro style, like the Sure-Loc Baden or Boulder wall mounted Euro holders, is a single open hook or loop. For fast roll changes in high-traffic restrooms, the single post is the least fiddly.

Deltana lists the BBN2001 as a commercial accessory, and the series is built from zinc and aluminum. For multi-family, hospitality and office restrooms it is a reasonable spec. If you are outfitting a heavy-abuse facility restroom, keep in mind this is cast zinc rather than welded stainless, so consider that against the traffic level.

Two finishes: Brushed Nickel and Polished Chrome. The BBN series is a full bathroom accessory collection, so towel bars, rings and hooks in the same series carry the same finishes, which is how property managers standardize a whole unit or floor on one look.

Not a like-for-like one. The Sure-Loc Basic BA-PH type is a 2-post paper holder, meaning it uses two separate wall-mounted posts spaced for the roll, while the Deltana BBN2001 is a single post holder with one base measuring 1-3/4 inches wide and a 2-1/2 inch projection. A two-post unit needs two sets of anchor points at a set spacing, so it will not land on the same hole pattern as the single base BBN2001.

Euro style holders such as the Sure-Loc Baden BD-PH1, Boulder BL-PH1, Orca 3655 Swirl and Orca 5255 Ripple are wall mounted open-arm designs in their own styling series. The Deltana BBN2001 is a single post holder built from zinc and aluminum in the BBN bathroom accessory line. For a facility standardizing on one look, the choice comes down to whether the other accessories on the wall are BBN series pieces or one of those euro families.

The BBN2001 is a zinc and aluminum holder offered in Brushed Nickel and Polished Chrome. If the room is being built around brass or bronze, Emtek's bar style paper holders come in Modern Brass, Traditional Brass, Transitional Brass and Sandcast Bronze bath hardware series, so the holder matches the towel bars and rings in the same family. Note the Emtek units are bar style rather than single post.

The Deltana BBN2001 is a single post holder, so a roll drops on and off with no moving parts and nothing to break or go missing between turns. The Orca 2752 and Orca 4852 use a plastic tube, which keeps the roll captive but adds a loose part that can crack or walk off. Both approaches are commercial bathroom accessories; the BBN2001 is a zinc and aluminum unit offered in Brushed Nickel and Polished Chrome for matching across units.

Zinc is the substrate, with aluminum used in the series as well. Plated zinc alloy is the standard material for mid-priced residential and light commercial bath accessories and holds a brushed nickel or chrome plating well in a bathroom. It is not solid brass or stainless, so if you need a marine or coastal environment, look at a brass body instead such as the Emtek Modern Brass Paper Holder.

Each. The unit of measure is one holder, so a 40-unit apartment turn means 40 line units, not 40 packs.

Yes, Deltana publishes a BBN2001 spec sheet and it is linked on the product record. It is the document to hand a contractor or submit with a bath accessory schedule.
