Deltana CHAT Cabinet Hinge Finial, Acorn Tip, Solid Brass

The CHAT acorn tip finial uses a 5 x 0.8mm metric thread. It is made to thread onto Deltana cabinet hinges, so if your hinges are Deltana the finial screws straight on. On a non-Deltana hinge you would need to confirm the pin is tapped M5 x 0.8, since anything else will not engage.

Ten finishes: PVD Polished Brass, Polished Brass, Unlacquered Brass, Antique Brass, Oil Rubbed Bronze, Polished Nickel, Brushed Nickel, Antique Nickel, Polished Chrome and Brushed Chrome. Order the finial in the same finish code as the Deltana hinge it goes on. Unlacquered Brass is the one to pick if you want the piece to patina naturally; PVD Polished Brass is the one that holds its shine longest.

Small and proportioned to a cabinet hinge barrel: 1/2 inch high with a 5/16 inch diameter. That keeps it tight to the hinge rather than standing off like a door hinge finial.

Pricing and packaging are per each, so one finial per unit. Most cabinet hinges take a finial at both the top and bottom of the barrel, so count two per hinge and multiply by your hinge count when you order for a full kitchen or a unit turn.

No. The CHAT is sized for cabinet hinges, with a 5/16 inch diameter and an M5 x 0.8 thread. A standard door butt hinge pin is considerably larger and uses a different tip, so the acorn will neither thread nor look right. For door hinges, specify a door-hinge finial matched to that hinge series.

Solid brass through the body, with the finish applied over it. That matters on unlacquered and antique finishes, where a plated pot metal tip will show a different base color as it wears.

Deltana classifies the CHAT acorn finial as residential. It is a decorative cabinet hinge tip, not a load-bearing or graded part, so for hospitality or multi-family millwork treat it as a finish item rather than something that carries a durability rating.
