Deltana CHST Cabinet Hinge Finial, Steeple Tip, Solid Brass

It's the decorative tip that threads onto the end of a Deltana cabinet hinge barrel, in a pointed steeple profile. Solid brass, 5/8 inch high and 5/16 inch in diameter, with a 5 x 0.8mm thread. It's a finish detail, not a working part of the hinge, so a hinge functions with or without it. Sold each, so a pair of tips per hinge means ordering two.

The CHST is made to fit Deltana cabinet hinges, and it uses a 5 x 0.8mm thread. If your hinges are Deltana cabinet hinges with tapped barrel ends, it threads straight on. Hinges from another brand are a gamble unless you can measure the tapped hole and confirm it's 5mm x 0.8 pitch, so check the thread before ordering rather than assuming.

Two per hinge if you're tipping both ends of the barrel, since the CHST is priced and sold as a single unit. For a kitchen with, say, 20 hinge leaves, that's 40 tips. Worth counting the doors before ordering, because a partial set leaves visibly mismatched hinges across the run.

Eleven: PVD Polished Brass, Polished Brass, Unlacquered Brass, Antique Brass, Polished Nickel, Brushed Nickel, Antique Nickel, Polished Chrome, Brushed Chrome, Oil Rubbed Bronze, and Paint Black. All on a solid brass body, so the finish sits on brass rather than plated steel. Unlacquered Brass is the one that will patina over time; the others hold their appearance.

Each CHST tip stands 5/8 inch tall and 5/16 inch across. On an inset or face-frame cabinet where the hinge barrel sits close to an adjacent door, crown molding, or a countertop underside, that 5/8 inch of added height is what you measure against. Below the barrel it projects the same amount downward if you tip both ends.

Deltana lists the CHST as residential. It's cabinet hardware, a decorative barrel tip for cabinet hinges, so it belongs on millwork and casework rather than on rated or high-traffic openings. For a commercial build-out where cabinet doors take real abuse, treat these as trim only.

Solid brass, listed as both the material and the substrate. That matters on unlacquered and antique finishes especially, since there's no base metal to show through if the surface wears at the point of the steeple.
