Deltana WBR1052CR003 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Does the Deltana WBR1052 wire basket come with mounting hardware, or do I need to supply anchors?
Mounting hardware is packed with the WBR1052 basket. For tile or stone shower walls you will still want anchors suited to your substrate, since the included hardware is generic fastening, but nothing else has to be ordered to mount it.
2) Can I mount the WBR1052 basket on a shower wall rather than a niche shelf?
Wall mounting is exactly what it is made for. The Deltana wire baskets are intended for shower walls to add storage, and they ship with hardware to fasten them there. It is a surface-mounted wire basket, not a recessed niche insert.
3) What finishes does the Deltana WBR1052 10 inch wire basket come in?
Two finishes: PVD Polished Brass and Brushed Nickel. The PVD polished brass is the one to pick if you are matching bright brass trim and want a coating that holds up in a wet shower; brushed nickel suits satin nickel valves and grab bars.
4) Is a solid brass shower basket like the Deltana WBR1052 going to hold up in a hotel or multi-family bathroom?
It is rated for commercial use and built from solid brass, which resists tarnishing in a constantly wet shower better than plated steel wire baskets. That is the usual reason spec writers put it in hospitality and multi-family shower walls.
5) How big is the Deltana WBR1052 rectangular shower basket?
It is the 10 inch size in Deltana's HD Bath Baskets line, rectangular in shape. Lay out your shower niche or wall mounting points for a 10 inch run before drilling.
6) Is the Deltana WBR1052 a soap dish or a larger storage basket?
It is a rectangular wire basket at 10 inches, sized to hold bottles and bar soap rather than a single bar the way a small soap dish does. Deltana groups it with their soap dish accessories, so it coordinates with the rest of the bath line, but the open wire body drains and carries more.
