Deltana WBR1054H Wire Basket, 10-3/8", Deep, Rectangular with Hook

Solid brass, through and through. The WBR1054H is a solid brass wire basket, which is what keeps it from tarnishing in a wet shower environment where a plated steel basket would eventually rust at the welds. It's rated for commercial use, so it holds up in hotel, multi-family, and institutional bathrooms as well as residential ones.

The basket measures 10-3/8 x 4-7/8 inches. Plan your wall layout around the 10-3/8 inch dimension, since that's the long side and the one that has to clear a corner, a shower valve, or a niche edge. It's a deep rectangular basket, so it takes bottles standing upright rather than just a bar of soap.

Mounting hardware is packed with the basket, so it ships ready to install. What isn't included is anything specific to your substrate: if you're going into tile over cement board or into a fiberglass surround with no blocking behind it, you'll want proper tile or hollow-wall anchors sized to the supplied fasteners.

Four finishes: PVD Polished Brass, Polished Nickel, Brushed Nickel, and Polished Chrome. For a fleet or a full bathroom package, Polished Chrome and Brushed Nickel are the two that match most standard commercial trim; the PVD Polished Brass is the durable version of a brass finish, since PVD is a hard coating rather than a lacquer, so it won't wear off in a high-use shower the way lacquered brass does.

A wire basket like the WBR1054H drains, a solid dish doesn't. That's the whole decision. In a shower where the item sits under the spray, the open wire lets water and soap residue fall through instead of pooling, which is why wire is the standard choice for shower walls and solid dishes tend to go beside a tub or on a vanity. The WBR1054H is a deep rectangular basket, so it also carries bottles, not just soap.

Yes, it's specified for commercial use. Solid brass construction is the reason it works for a multi-unit spec: it doesn't rust out and need replacing unit by unit. Buying it as a package is straightforward too, since it's sold by the each rather than in a fixed carton quantity, so you can order to your exact door or unit count.
