Deltana WBR1051H Wire Basket, 10-3/8", Rectangular Deep and Shallow with Hook

The WBR1051H measures 10-3/8 x 4-7/8 inches overall, and the catalog size for the model is 10-3/8 inches. That footprint is wide enough that it spans more than a single stud bay in standard framing, so on tile the mounting points land wherever the anchors go rather than on framing you can pick. Measure your open wall area for a 10-3/8 inch run before you buy.

Mounting hardware ships with the basket. Deltana packs it in the box. What is not included is anything specific to your substrate, so if you are fastening into tile over cement board or into a solid masonry shower wall, plan on the appropriate anchors for that material.

The WBR1051H is solid brass, not plated pot metal or wire-formed steel, and Deltana rates it for commercial use. Brass does not rust when it stays wet, which is what kills cheap shower baskets in a gym, dorm, or hotel bath. For a property manager repeating the same fixture across dozens of units, that is the durability argument.

Five finishes: PVD Polished Brass, Oil Rubbed Bronze, Polished Nickel, Brushed Nickel, and Polished Chrome. The PVD polished brass is worth noting for a wet location, since PVD is a deposited coating rather than a lacquer and holds up better to constant water and cleaning chemicals than standard lacquered brass.

It is one basket split into two compartments of different depths, plus a hook. The deep side takes tall bottles, shampoo and body wash; the shallow side is sized for a bar of soap, which is why Deltana groups it with its soap dishes. The hook underneath hangs a razor or a loofah. One anchor set, three storage functions, which matters when you are limited on how many penetrations you want to make in finished tile.

Wall mount. The WBR1051H is built to fasten to a shower wall and ships with hardware for that, so it needs a solid substrate behind the fastener. It is not a hang-over-glass or over-the-door caddy, and there is no glass clamp arrangement on it. On a frameless glass enclosure, mount it to the adjacent tile wall inside the shower.

It belongs to Deltana's HD Bath Baskets line, so the sizes and shapes in that group share the same solid brass construction and finish set. Standardizing a facility on one finish, Brushed Nickel or Polished Chrome for instance, lets you mix basket sizes across unit types and still have every bathroom read the same.

Each. One basket per unit, so a 40-unit renovation is 40 line items and not a case count you have to divide out.
