Dormakaba 8836 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Which Dorma closers do the 8836 arms work with?
These are arms for the Dorma RTS series center hung overhead concealed closers. They are a replacement part, not a complete closer, so the RTS closer body itself has to already be in the header or ordered separately.
2) Can I use the Dorma 8836 arms on a residential entry door?
It's a commercial part. The 8836 arms are specified for commercial aluminum storefront and tempered glass door applications running RTS series concealed closers, which is not typical residential construction.
