Buildings with heavy traffic or where users shove doors open are exactly what it is built for.
3) Is the Dorma MOD DST a parallel arm or a regular arm mount?
Parallel arm. It mounts on the push side of the door with the arm running parallel to the face, which is the usual choice in corridors and stairwells where a regular arm projecting into the opening would get hit. If your closer is set up for regular arm (pull side) mounting, this is not a drop-in for that configuration.
4) Does the Dorma MOD DST arm hold the door open?
Yes, it is a hold-open arm with a thumb turn: the user turns the thumb turn to hold the door open at the stop position and releases it the same way. Handy for move-ins, deliveries, and cleaning. Note that a mechanical hold-open arm is not appropriate on a fire rated opening, where the door has to be free to close.
