The DF59 is the control key that opens the access lock on the back of a Simplex 1000 series pushbutton lock, which is what you have to open to change the combination. It is not a key that unlocks the door for entry. If you manage a building on Simplex locks and nobody can change codes anymore, this is the key that went missing.
2) Will the DF59 key work on a Simplex 1000 series lock?
Yes. The DF59 replacement keys fit Simplex 1000 series pushbutton locks. That is the series they are cut for, so if the lock on the door is a 1000 series mechanical pushbutton, this is the right control key.
3) Is the DF59 the key that opens the door, or a different key?
