1) What is the difference between the RCI 9320 and the 9321 proximity reader?
Both are the same Easy Read Slimline prox reader; the split is where the controller lives. The 9320 is a self-contained unit, reader and controller in one housing at the door. The 9321 comes as two separate pieces, reader outside and controller inside, which is what you want on an exterior opening where you do not want the door-release electronics reachable from the unsecured side. Silent access validation is a 9320-only feature; both support audible and visual validation.
2) How close does the card have to be to the RCI 9320 reader to work?
Read range is up to 2-3/8 inches (60mm) with the 932-10CP card and 1-9/16 inches (40mm) with the 932-10KP fob. Fobs read shorter than cards, so if you are mounting behind a glass stop or any non-metallic trim, size the gap against the 1-9/16 inch fob figure rather than the card figure.
3) What power supply do I need for an RCI 9320 proximity reader?
