1) How many delayed egress doors can a DynaLock 6350 monitor station cover?
The 6350 four zone monitor station handles up to four doors, working with up to four Series 3101B delay egress systems. Each zone gets its own bi-color LED on the faceplate, so a guard or front desk can see which of the four openings is in alarm or has been released. If you have more than four delayed egress doors, you need more than one station.
2) What do I have to add to my DynaLock delay egress locks to make the 6350 remote station work?
Every lock wired back to the 6350 has to be ordered with the DynaLock Dynastat option. Without Dynastat on the lock, the station will not fully function. Specify that option on the locks at the time you order them, since it is a factory option on the lock, not something the monitor station supplies.
3) What kind of box does the DynaLock 6350 monitor station mount to?
It mounts on a standard two gang plate, so rough-in is a two gang box at the guard desk, nurse station, or wherever the remote annunciation point is. That is the same prep an electrician would use for a two gang switch, which keeps the install simple on a retrofit.
4) Does the DynaLock 6350 come with a power supply, or do I need to order one separately?
A 5312 transformer is furnished with the 6350, so power for the station itself is included in the order. You still power the delay egress locks themselves from their own supply.
5) Does the 6350 monitor station have an audible alarm, and can staff silence it?
There is one sounder on the station plus a mute switch, so delay egress activity annunciates both visually through the LEDs and audibly. Staff can silence the sounder at the station while the LEDs keep showing zone status.
6) Is the 6350 a lock, or just a remote indicator?
It is strictly a remote monitoring and annunciation station, not a locking device and not a release control. It shows delay egress status at a location away from the doors. The locking and the timed release still happen at the Series 3101B delay egress units on the openings themselves.
7) Will the DynaLock 6350 match the brushed stainless trim on the rest of my hardware?
The station is finished in Brushed Stainless Steel, US32D, which is the standard satin stainless commercial trim finish. That is the only finish it comes in, so it lines up with US32D levers, push plates, and exit device trim already in the building.
8) Is the DynaLock 6350 suitable for an apartment building or is it a commercial-grade product?
It is a commercial product, intended for buildings running delayed egress on exit doors, which is typically healthcare, retail, schools, and multi-family common areas. It is an electronic access control accessory, so plan for low voltage wiring back from each of the four doors to the station.
