DynaLock 7350 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Will the DynaLock 7350 keypad fit on a narrow door mullion?
That is exactly what the 7350 is built for. It is the narrow mullion mount version of DynaLock's 7300 Series stand alone keypad, using a 2x6 key matrix so the faceplate stays slim enough to land on a storefront mullion or narrow stile rather than needing a wide flat surface beside the opening.
2) Can one DynaLock 7350 keypad control two doors?
Yes. The 7350 can run as a single or two-door access controller, and it carries two Form-C relay outputs rated at 2 amps to do it. Two Form C contacts means you get both normally open and normally closed on each output, so it will drive a fail safe mag lock on one door and a fail secure strike on the other from the same unit.
3) Is the DynaLock 7350 keypad OK to mount outdoors or in a washdown area?
It is IP65 rated with a fully sealed metal enclosure, and the electronics are completely epoxy filled. The all-metal piezoelectric keys have no moving membrane to split, so it wipes down and holds up in exterior entries, kitchens, hospitals and transit environments.
4) Does the DynaLock 7350 need a separate controller or access control panel?
No. It is a stand alone keypad, meaning the codes, relays and logic all live in the unit at the door. You supply power and the locking device; there is no panel, no software and no network connection involved.
5) How many user codes will the DynaLock 7350 hold, and can I give different people different access?
It stores 1 to 500 user PIN codes, with up to three access levels assignable per user or across the whole system. For a property manager that covers a building's worth of tenants and staff without a head-end system, and codes are entered through an on-board setup menu using one of two enrolling methods.
6) How vandal resistant is the DynaLock 7350 keypad for a high-abuse entrance?
The casing is vandal-resistant metal and there is a built-in optical tamper sensor that flags an attempt to pry or open the unit. Piezo keys have no mechanical travel, so there are no buttons to punch through, which is why this one gets specified for industrial and institutional openings.
7) Does the DynaLock 7350 keypad have an input for a request-to-exit device?
Yes, it has both a REX input and a separate auxiliary input. Wire the push-to-exit button, motion sensor or exit device switch to the REX, and use the auxiliary input for a door position switch to drive the monitoring modes.
8) Can the DynaLock 7350 keypad do door ajar or forced door alarms?
Ten programmable auxiliary modes are included, among them Door Ajar, Forced Door, Alarm Shunt and Door Monitor. An internal sounder plus two tri-colored status and programming LEDs give the local audible and visual indication, so a small site can get door monitoring without a separate alarm panel.
9) What comes in the box with the DynaLock 7350 keypad?
An installation kit and a self-adhesive mounting template ship with it, so the hole layout can be marked on the mullion without making a paper pattern. The lock or strike, the power supply and the wiring are separate.
10) Is the DynaLock 7350 a commercial-grade keypad or a residential one?
Commercial. DynaLock lists the 7350 for harsh industrial, institutional and commercial environments, and the sealed metal piezo construction is aimed at traffic levels a residential keypad would not survive.
