1) Can the B-Line E50GNG1 limit switch be used in a washdown or outdoor location?
Yes. The E50GNG1 carries NEMA 1, 3, 3S, 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 13 and IP67 ratings, so it handles rain, hosedown, corrosive atmospheres and temporary submersion. The housing is die cast zinc, which is what lets it hold the 4X and 6P ratings in wet plant and outdoor conveyor work.
