B-LINE 4D22-120GLV – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Is 4D22-120GLV strut rated for outdoor or wet locations?
The finish is pre-galvanized steel, which is a mill galvanized coating intended for dry indoor use and protected locations. For exterior, damp, or corrosive environments you want a hot-dip galvanized after fabrication or stainless channel instead, since cut ends and punched holes on pre-galvanized stock expose bare steel.
2) What is the exact part number to order this B-Line strut channel?
Order Eaton B-Line part number 4D22-120GLV. The number breaks down as 4D22 channel profile, 120 inch length, GLV for the pre-galvanized finish.
3) Does the 4D22 strut channel come with nuts, bolts, or mounting hardware?
No. The 4D22-120GLV is the bare 120 inch channel only. Channel nuts, spring nuts, bolts, end caps, splice plates, beam clamps, and any brackets are ordered separately, so build those into your material list for the job.
