B-LINE AC-1236T – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Is the Eaton B-Line AC-1236T a complete console enclosure or just part of one?
The AC-1236T is the top assembly for an Eaton B-Line console, not a standalone enclosure. It is used with the AC-1236B base section, so you need to order that piece as well to build out a complete console.
2) Is the AC-1236T console top rated for a dusty or oily plant floor?
It carries a NEMA 12 rating, which covers indoor use against falling dirt, circulating dust, lint, and dripping non-corrosive liquids. That is the usual choice for machine shops and process floors. It is not a washdown or outdoor rating, so if the location sees hosedown or weather you want a Type 4 or 4X enclosure instead.
3) What finish does the B-Line console top assembly come in, and will it match existing B-Line enclosures?
ANSI 61 gray polyester powder coat, which is the standard gray used across Eaton B-Line console enclosures and accessories, so it lines up with adjacent sections and bases finished the same way.
4) What are the dimensions and weight of the AC-1236T console top assembly?
It measures 26.87 x 26.87 x 26.87 inches and weighs 60.363 lb. Plan on two people or a lift for placement, and check your floor layout clearance before the base section goes in.
5) Is the Eaton B-Line AC-1236T certified for Canadian installations?
The console top assembly is CSA certified, which is what a Canadian inspector will look for on an industrial control enclosure.
