B-LINE 345 HC – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Is the B-Line 345 HC a ringless or ring-type CT enclosure?
It is a ring-type unit. The cover is secured with a sealing ring rather than a ringless bolt-on lid, so the utility seals the ring on this one. If the serving utility on your job specifies ringless, this is the wrong feed type and you need the ringless version instead.
2) Will the 345 HC work for an A base meter installation?
Yes, the 345 HC is built specifically for "A" base metering, meaning the bolt-in style meter rather than a socket-mounted S base. If the utility on your project is setting an S base socket meter, this enclosure is not the one to order.
3) How do I order the exact B-Line CT enclosure without getting the wrong model?
Order it by the Eaton B-Line part number 345 HC. That number pins down the ring style cover and the "A" base metering configuration, which is where most mix-ups happen when someone orders by size alone.
