1) Does the B-Line ATB-37-400 come with the bolt, or just the toggle wing?
Both. The anchor is a two-part assembly and a combo round head bolt is supplied with it, so you are not sourcing the screw separately. The combo head takes either a slotted or Phillips driver.
2) Is this toggle bolt UL Listed for electrical support work?
The Eaton B-Line ATB series toggle bolt is UL Listed, which is what inspectors look for when it is carrying boxes, strut, or raceway in a commercial electrical install.
3) When should I use a toggle bolt instead of a concrete anchor or a self-drilling screw?
A toggle bolt is for hollow base material, hollow block, drywall, hollow-core panel, where there is no solid substrate behind the face to grip. The wings on the ATB-37-400 fold through the hole and spread out on the back side to spread the load. In solid concrete or solid masonry you want a wedge or sleeve anchor instead, and in sheet metal or wood you want a screw, because a toggle needs an open cavity to open into.
4) What material is the B-Line ATB-37-400 toggle bolt, and can I use it outdoors?
It is carbon steel. That is fine for dry interior work, but carbon steel has no inherent corrosion resistance the way stainless does, so for wet, exterior, or corrosive locations pick a stainless or hot-dip galvanized anchor instead.
5) Can I reuse the B-Line toggle bolt if I have to take the fixture down?
No. Back the bolt out of an installed toggle and the wing drops off into the cavity and is gone. Plan on a fresh ATB-37-400 for any re-hang, and order spares if you expect the fixture to come down for service.
