3) Can I use the ASE-25 expansion shield in drywall or hollow wall?
No. An expansion shield of this type only works where it can grip solid base material, concrete, brick, or block. For hollow wall you want a toggle or hollow wall anchor instead. The ASE-25 is a masonry anchor and will spin in a drilled sheetrock hole.
4) Single expansion shield versus double expansion shield: which one do I want for concrete block?
A single expansion shield like the ASE-25 expands over one end only, which suits solid poured concrete where the anchor is set in dense material.
