Yes, the ASE-37 single expansion shield is UL Listed. That matters on inspected commercial jobs where the support hardware for raceway and equipment has to be listed along with the conduit itself.

Steel. The ASE-37 shield body is steel, which is what you want when the anchor is carrying strut, conduit clamps, or pipe hangers off a concrete ceiling or wall rather than a light fixture load.

A single expansion shield like the ASE-37 expands over one section of the body as the bolt draws it up, so it suits solid, sound concrete where the drilled hole holds its shape. A double expansion shield expands along two sections and is the choice in softer or less consistent base material such as block or older masonry, because it grips over more of the hole depth. Both are set by drilling, inserting the shield, then threading a machine bolt in to expand it.

Drill deep enough to fully seat the 1.5 inch shield body, plus a little extra for dust at the bottom of the hole. The shield has to sit flush or slightly below the concrete surface so the fixture bears on the concrete and not on the lip of the anchor.
