The AWF2424AP flat panel is sized for 24 x 24 inch fiberglass enclosures. It is a back panel only, so the enclosure box, door and latching hardware come separately.

The panel measures 21 x 17 x 27 inches across its stated height, width and length/depth figures, with the mounting surface sized to sit inside a 24 x 24 inch fiberglass box rather than match its outside dimensions. Lay out your DIN rail, breakers or terminal blocks against the panel face, not the enclosure face, since the usable area is smaller than the enclosure nominal size.

Aluminum, with a smooth brushed finish. Aluminum is the choice where the enclosure is in a washdown, coastal or corrosive area and a painted steel panel would eventually rust at drilled holes. It is also lighter to handle overhead at 4.357 lb.

It is listed to CSA C22.2, which matters on Canadian jobs and on specs that call for CSA-recognized enclosure components.

Fiberglass enclosures are normally shipped without an interior mounting panel, so if you plan to mount breakers, relays, terminal strips or a DIN rail inside a 24 x 24 box, you need a panel like the AWF2424AP. Drilling and tapping the fiberglass wall itself is not a substitute; the panel gives you a drillable, groundable aluminum surface.

At 4.357 lb it is a one-hand lift. A single electrician can set it on the enclosure's mounting studs without a helper, which is the practical difference from a steel panel of the same footprint.

Being solid aluminum rather than painted or plated steel, the panel is conductive across its face, so bonding to it is straightforward. Fiberglass enclosures are non-conductive, so the panel is where your bonding point belongs.
