The Eaton B-Line 4A-24-VTU12 is a vertical tee up fitting: it takes a horizontal cable tray run and branches a third leg upward, so cables can break off vertically while the straight run continues. It is not a change of direction on its own, it is a three-way junction with the branch going up. If you only need the run itself to rise, you want a vertical elbow instead; if the branch goes down, you need the vertical tee down version.

The fitting is a 12 inch radius. That radius sets the minimum bend the conductors see as they turn up through the tee, so it is the number to check against the cable manufacturer's minimum bending radius for the largest power or data cable in the tray. Larger conductors often need the bigger radius fittings; 12 inch is the common middle option in the series.

Aluminum. That keeps it light for overhead work at 11.9 lb and is the usual choice where corrosion is a concern, such as exterior, wash-down, or coastal installs. If your spec calls for hot dip galvanized or stainless steel tray, this fitting is not the match, the material has to follow the rest of the run.

It measures 15 inches in length/depth, 24 inches wide, with 4 inch rails. Lay that 15 inches out on your run before you cut straight sections, and remember the upward branch needs headroom clearance above the tray for the 12 inch radius turn plus the cable itself.

The 4A-24-VTU12 is the fitting itself. Splice plates and connection hardware for joining it to the adjoining straight sections are ordered separately, so count three connection points on a tee (two on the straight run, one on the vertical branch) when you build your hardware list. Hangers and supports for the branch leg are separate as well.

This is a Series 2-5 fitting for B-Line imperial cable tray and ladder in 24 inch width with 4 inch rails. Match the series and the rail height of your existing run, since the fitting bolts to the side rails; the bottom style of the straight sections does not change the side rail connection.
