A vertical inside bend carries the tray run up or down a change in elevation, with the bend turning toward the inside of the tray (rungs on the inside of the curve). Eaton B-Line model 4A-06-30VI24 makes that transition at a 30 degree angle on a 24 inch radius, in a 6 inch wide, 4 inch deep aluminum profile. Use a vertical outside bend instead when the run needs to turn the other way at the same elevation change.

Allow about 19.692 inches of length for the fitting itself, measured along the run. That comes from the 24 inch bend radius at 30 degrees. Lay it out before you cut your straight sections, because the bend consumes that length and the elevation change happens across it.

Aluminum is the usual pick where weight and corrosion resistance matter, including damp and many outdoor or process areas, and it is non-magnetic. It also keeps this fitting light at 4.73 lb, which matters when you are working it into a trapeze hanger overhead. In heavy chemical exposure or where fire loading rules out aluminum, a steel or fiberglass tray system is the alternative.
