It is a 60 degree vertical inside bend fitting for Eaton B-Line imperial cable tray, used where the tray run changes elevation and the bend turns toward the inside of the tray (cables ride up the rung side of the curve). It matches 18 inch wide, 4 inch deep tray and carries a 24 inch bend radius. It is a fitting, not a straight section, so you still order straight tray lengths and splice plates separately.

Depends which way the run breaks. An inside bend, like this 60 degree piece, is used when the tray changes elevation and the cables travel along the inside of the curve, so the bend opens upward toward the rungs. An outside bend is used when the curve turns away from the cable side. Ordering the wrong one puts the rails on the wrong plane and it will not splice to the straight sections.

Aluminum. That matters for two reasons on a job: it keeps the piece light, at 8.272 lb, so one person can set it on the hangers, and it should be bonded and supported consistently with the rest of an aluminum tray system rather than mixed with steel sections that carry different grounding and corrosion behavior.

Allow for a 24 inch bend radius and an overall developed length of 28.912 inches for the fitting itself. On a tight elevation change near a wall or a beam, that radius is the number that decides whether the bend clears; a smaller radius fitting is required where it does not.

The 4A-18-60VI24 is supplied as the bend fitting only. Splice plates, bolts and any hangers or supports at the elevation change are ordered separately, and a bend of this size normally wants support close to each end connection.
