A vertical outside bend carries the tray run over an obstruction or down a change in elevation, with the bend turning away from the tray interior. If your run needs to drop rather than rise over the obstruction, you want the vertical inside bend version instead.

Allow about 35.677 inches of length for the fitting itself. On a 36 inch radius 60 degree bend that is the dimension you subtract from your straight tray lengths when laying out the run, so measure the obstruction clearance before cutting straights to fit.

Order the connection hardware separately. The 4A-24-60VO36 is the bend section itself; each end still has to be spliced to the adjacent straight tray with the matching Eaton B-Line splice plates and bolt sets for Series 2-5 aluminum tray, and you will need a hanger or support near the fitting.

Radius is chosen off the cable, not the tray. A 36 inch radius gives large power or fiber cables room to make the elevation change without exceeding their minimum bending radius. If your cable allows a tighter turn, the same bend is made in smaller radii and will save run length, since this one eats 35.677 inches.
