A vertical inside bend turns the tray run upward or downward while the cable stays on the inside of the curve. The Eaton B-Line 4A-42-90VI24 makes that turn at 90 degrees on a 24 inch radius, so it is the fitting you use where a horizontal ladder run has to climb a wall or drop into a vertical riser. Pick the inside bend when the cables ride the concave face of the turn; an outside bend is the one for a convex transition.

Allow for the fitting's overall run of 44.34 inches along its length, driven by the 24 inch bend radius. On a congested riser or a tight ceiling void that is the number that decides whether the turn fits; if you cannot give it that, you need a shorter radius fitting instead.

The 4A-42-90VI24 is supplied as the vertical inside bend fitting itself. Splice plates, connection hardware and the supports or hangers on each side of the turn are separate line items, so order them with the fitting if you do not already have them on site.
