The Eaton B-Line 4A-24-12-HX12 is a Series 2-5 horizontal cross built for 24 inch and 12 inch tray widths. It joins four tray runs at one intersection in the horizontal plane, with the wider legs sized at 24 inches and the narrower legs at 12 inches. If every run into your intersection is the same width, you need a cross sized for that single width instead.

It is a 12 inch radius fitting. That is the inside turning radius the cable follows through the intersection, so cables with a minimum bending radius of 12 inches or less can be routed through it without exceeding their bend limit. Cables calling for a larger radius need a fitting built on a bigger radius.

It carries CSA certification, which is the listing Canadian electrical inspectors look for on cable tray fittings. Aluminum construction, Series 2-5, 24 and 12 inch tray widths.

Count the runs leaving the intersection. A cross takes four, one in each direction on the same horizontal plane, which is what the 4A-24-12-HX12 does. A tee takes three. If you are changing elevation rather than branching sideways, neither applies, that calls for a vertical elbow.

The 4A-24-12-HX12 is supplied as the cross fitting itself. Splice plates and the bolt and nut sets that attach it to each tray section are ordered separately, along with any hanger or support at the intersection. Order splice hardware matched to Series 2-5 aluminum tray so you are not mixing metals at the joint.
