The AW3624-1PP panel is built for 36 inch by 24 inch enclosures. The panel itself measures 31 inches high by 24 inches wide, with a 22.5 inch length/depth dimension, so it sits inside the 36 x 24 box rather than matching its outside dimensions. If your enclosure is a different size, this panel will not line up with the mounting studs.

No. The AW3624-1PP is rated NEMA 1, which is indoor use only, protecting against incidental contact and falling dirt. It has no protection against rain, hose-down, dust or oil. For outdoor or washdown work you need a panel and enclosure package rated for the environment, typically NEMA 3R, 4 or 4X.

A medium perforated panel like the AW3624-1PP gives you a grid of holes across the face, so you can mount DIN rail, terminal blocks, relays and small devices with self-tapping or thread-forming screws anywhere on the pattern without laying out and drilling every hole. A solid panel is the better pick when you need heavy components bolted at arbitrary locations, want a continuous surface for grounding large equipment, or plan to cut your own precise hole pattern. For control panel build-up and frequent rework, the perforated version saves layout time.

The AW3624-1PP is the back panel only. The enclosure and any DIN rail, wire duct or component mounting screws are ordered separately. Panels of this type mount to the collar studs already welded into the matching 36 x 24 enclosure, so confirm your box has those studs before ordering.

Steel construction with a white powder coated finish. The white face makes wiring and component labels easier to read inside an enclosure, and the powder coat resists scuffing during build-up. Note that powder coat is an insulating layer, so any component or ground bar that relies on the panel for bonding needs paint-piercing hardware or a scraped contact point.

It weighs 11.44 lb bare, so a single installer can lift and set it on the enclosure studs. Once you have loaded it with breakers, drives or transformers the assembly gets a lot heavier, which is why most shops build the panel outside the box on a bench and then drop the finished plate in.
