B-LINE B24KO6-240GRN – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What size is B-Line B24 strut channel, and will standard 1-5/8 inch strut fittings fit it?
The B24KO6-240GRN is a 1.62 inch by 1.62 inch channel, which is the nominal 1-5/8 x 1-5/8 strut profile that standard 1-5/8 inch strut nuts, clamps, and fittings are built around. Wall thickness is 14 gauge steel.
2) Does the B24KO6-240GRN strut come with nuts, bolts, or hangers?
No. This is the bare 240 inch channel only. Strut nuts, spring nuts, threaded rod, beam clamps, pipe clamps, end caps, and closure strip all order separately, and you size them to the 1-5/8 inch channel profile.
3) What does the K06 hole pattern on this B-Line strut mean?
K06 is the punch pattern in the channel back. It is a knockout style pattern rather than a solid back, so you get fixing points along the length for bolting the strut to structure or running hardware through without drilling. If your detail calls for solid back strut or a slotted pattern instead, K06 is not the same part.
4) Is DURA GREEN strut suitable for outdoor or damp locations?
DURA GREEN is Eaton B-Line's painted coating over the 14 gauge steel channel. It is a coated finish for general interior and protected service, not a hot dip galvanized or stainless product. For exterior exposure, wash-down areas, or coastal work, specify a galvanized or stainless channel instead of the green painted version.
5) Can I mix B24KO6-240GRN with the plain galvanized strut already on my job?
Dimensionally yes. The channel is the same 1.62 x 1.62 profile in 14 gauge, so fittings and nuts interchange between the green painted and galvanized versions of the same size. The difference is the coating only, so the runs will not match visually where they are exposed.
6) What is the exact part number to order this green 20 foot B-Line strut?
Order Eaton B-Line part number B24KO6-240GRN. That number carries the B24 channel type, K06 hole pattern, 240 inch length, and the green finish all in one designation, so changing any of those means a different part number.
