The B261-18ZN 45 degree knee brace is rated for 450 lbs. That is the brace itself; the channel it bolts to, the fasteners, and the anchorage into the structure all have to carry the same load, so size the weakest link in the assembly, not just the fitting.

Electro-plated zinc over steel is a light protective coating meant for dry indoor use, plant interiors, and ceiling or wall strut runs inside the building envelope. It is not a hot dip galvanized or stainless finish, so for rooftops, parking structures, wash-down areas, or anywhere exposed to weather or chemicals, go to a hot dip galvanized or stainless version of the same brace instead.

Each B261-18ZN braces a single corner in one plane, bolting through two holes, one leg into each strut. On a trapeze or cantilever that can rack in either direction, brace both sides of the run, and on a wall-mounted bracket put a brace at each support point rather than relying on one. Fasteners are not part of the fitting, so order channel nuts and bolts to suit your strut series.

The B261-18ZN ships as the steel brace only, at 2.34 lbs. Hardware is separate: you will need two channel nuts and bolts sized to the strut you are fastening into. Match the nut to your channel series so the spring nut seats in the slot properly.
