The B163ZN is a two hole open angle fitting set at 22-1/2 degrees. It is a fixed-angle bracket, not adjustable, so it is used where a strut run or support leg has to break at 22-1/2 degrees and hold there. If the job needs a different break, you need the corresponding fixed-angle fitting for that degree or an adjustable hinge-type fitting instead.

The B163ZN is electro-plated zinc over steel, which is an indoor, dry-location finish. For exterior runs, parking structures, wash-down areas or anywhere with regular moisture, step up to a hot-dip galvanized or stainless version of the same angle fitting.

Two. The B163ZN is a two hole fitting, one hole per leg, so you fasten it with two channel nuts and bolts (typically 1/2 inch hardware for standard Unistrut-style strut). The nuts, bolts and washers are not part of the fitting itself, so order channel hardware separately.

It measures 3.31 in height, 4.37 in length/depth and 1.62 in width, and weighs .546 lb. The 1.62 in width matches standard 1-5/8 in strut channel, so it seats flat on the face of the channel rather than overhanging it.

7/32 inch steel. That is the heavier end of strut fitting stock, which is what lets a single-bolt-per-leg angle carry a bracket or trapeze leg load without the ears deforming around the bolt.

No certification applies to this fitting. It is a mechanical strut angle, and Eaton lists certifications as not applicable for it, so do not specify it on a submittal that requires a listed component. Listing requirements on strut systems normally attach to the channel and the overall support design, not to an individual angle bracket.
