B-Line B409-24ZN Eaton series strut fittings and accessories, 4.62" Height, 24" Length, 1.62" Width, 4.50lbs, Steel, Single channel bracket, Uniform load capacity 480 lbs, Electro-plated zinc

The B409-24ZN carries a uniform load rating of 480 lbs. That is a uniform load across the bracket, not a point load at the free end, so size your support accordingly when hanging conduit racks, pipe, or equipment off a wall or column.

The B409-24ZN is steel with an electro-plated zinc finish, which is a light indoor-duty coating. It suits dry interior work such as mechanical rooms, electrical rooms and ceiling or wall conduit support. For exterior, wash-down or corrosive areas, specify a hot dip galvanized or stainless version of the same bracket instead.

It measures 24 inches in length, 4.62 inches in height and 1.62 inches in width, and weighs 4.5 lbs. The 24 inch run is the working arm, so plan your standoff from the wall around that figure before you order.

A single channel bracket like the B409-24ZN is one length of strut channel with a mounting end, used to cantilever off a wall, column or ceiling and support conduit, pipe, cable tray or light equipment at moderate load. A double channel bracket is two channels welded back to back and is the one to reach for when the load is heavier or the arm is long enough that deflection matters. At 24 inches with a 480 lb uniform rating, the single channel version handles typical branch conduit and small pipe runs.

No. The B409-24ZN is supplied as the bracket alone. You will need to order your own anchors or through-bolts for the mounting surface, plus channel nuts and hardware for whatever you are attaching to the strut face. Order those on the same job line so the bracket is not sitting on the truck waiting for fasteners.

Order it as Eaton B-Line B409-24ZN. The B409 is the single channel bracket series, the 24 is the 24 inch length, and ZN denotes the electro-plated zinc finish. Quote that full designation to a distributor and you will get the right length and finish.
