B-Line B409-6ZN Eaton series strut fittings and accessories, 4.62" Height, 6" Length, 1.62" Width, 1.52lbs, Steel, Single channel bracket, Uniform load capacity 1920 lbs, Electro-plated zinc

The B409-6ZN carries a uniform load capacity of 1920 lbs. That is the bracket's own rating; the anchors, strut, and hardware you mount it with also have to be sized for the load, and the weakest of those governs what the assembly actually holds.

Measures 4.62 in height, 6 in length/depth, and 1.62 in width, and weighs 1.52 lb. The 1.62 in width is what lets it sit on standard 1-5/8 in strut channel, and the 6 in leg gives you the run of slot for adjusting bolt position.

Electro-plated zinc on steel is a dry-location finish. It suits indoor mechanical rooms, ceilings, and equipment rooms. For rooftops, exterior runs, parking structures, or washdown areas, specify a hot-dip galvanized or stainless strut fitting instead, since electroplate is a thin coating and will rust once it is weathered or scratched.

It is a steel angle-style fitting that ties one run of strut channel to a wall, deck, column, or another piece of strut. Electricians use them to pick up conduit racks and cable tray drops; mechanical trades use them for pipe and small equipment supports. It is a connector, not a standalone hanger, so you still order the strut, channel nuts, and bolts separately.

No. The B409-6ZN ships as the bracket alone at 1.52 lb. Plan on strut channel nuts and bolts (commonly 1/2 in hardware on 1-5/8 in strut) plus the correct concrete or steel anchors for your substrate to complete the support.

Order Eaton B-Line B409-6ZN. The ZN suffix is the electro-plated zinc finish; the same bracket family is offered in other finishes under different suffixes, so keep the full part number on the purchase order if the job calls for zinc.
