B-Line B2008SS6 Eaton series strut pipe clamps and accessories, .059" height, 2.396" length, 1.25" width, 400 lbs, Steel, Include combination recess hex head machine screw, Stainless steel type 316

It is a Type 316 stainless steel clamp, which is the grade normally specified where chlorides or washdown chemicals are present, such as coastal exteriors, pool rooms, wastewater plants, and food processing areas. For that corrosion resistance to hold up, pair it with 316 stainless strut and strut nuts rather than plated steel, or the plated parts will corrode first at the joint.

The clamp ships with a combination recess hex head machine screw included, so no separate fastener purchase is needed for the clamp itself. What is not included is the strut channel and the strut nut or spring nut that the screw threads into, so order those to match your channel.

Published dimensions are 2.396 in length/depth, 1.25 in width, and .059 in height, with a shipping weight of .11 lb. The .059 in figure is the material thickness of the stamped clamp body, which is why it sits nearly flush against the strut face when tightened.

Strut clamps and clevis hangers solve different problems. A strut clamp such as the B2008SS6 bolts a single pipe or conduit to a length of strut channel, so it suits trapeze racks, wall-mounted strut, and multiple parallel runs sharing one channel. A clevis hanger drops one pipe off a single threaded rod from the deck and is the better choice for an isolated line where you do not want to install channel. If you have several runs in the same corridor, one strut with clamps is fewer anchors than a clevis per pipe.

Order it as B-Line B2008SS6, an Eaton B-Line series strut pipe clamp in Type 316 stainless. The SS6 suffix is the 316 stainless designation in the B-Line numbering, which distinguishes it from the plain steel and electrogalvanized versions of the same clamp body.
