B-Line Eaton series wall mounted panel enclosure

The SDWSS4 carries a NEMA 4X rating and is built from 304 stainless steel, so it's intended for wet, outdoor, hosedown and corrosive duty rather than just dry indoor panel work. It's also UL 50 listed as an enclosure.

It's a 20 x 20 x 12 inch box: 20 inches high, 20 inches wide, 12 inches deep. That 12 inch depth is what decides whether your breaker panel, PLC backplate or drive will clear the door once wiring gutters are allowed for.

Wall mount, using thru holes in the back of the box. Optional external mounting feet are available if you'd rather stand the enclosure off the wall surface, which is the usual choice on washdown walls where you don't want a flush trap for water. Note that drilling thru holes in the back means anything you add on site has to be sealed to hold the 4X rating.

Stainless steel 1/4 turn latches on a hinged door and hinged cover. You get tool-quick access for routine service instead of backing out clamp screws, and the latch hardware is stainless to match the 304 stainless body, so nothing on the outside of the box rusts before the box does.

29.8 lb empty. That's a two-hand lift for one person on a ladder but realistically a two-person set once you're holding it level against anchors, and your wall anchors need to carry the box plus the panel, breakers and conduit loads you put in it.

16 gauge throughout, body and door. That's the standard weight for a medium single door stainless wall box and it's stiff enough to carry a mounted backpan with a drive or contactors without the door racking out of the gasket line.

A #4 brushed stainless finish, which reads as a grey satin grain rather than a mirror polish. It's the standard finish for food, pharma and wet process areas because it wipes down cleanly and hides handling marks on the door face.
