1) Is the 12LW wireway rated for a wet or washdown area?
No. The 22120-12LW is a NEMA 12 enclosure, which covers dust, falling dirt and dripping non-corrosive liquids in indoor industrial spaces. It is not a NEMA 3R or 4X product, so keep it out of outdoor, hose-down, and corrosive environments. The oil-resistant gasket under the cover is what earns the Type 12 seal.
2) Does this Eaton B-Line wireway have a removable cover or a hinged one?
Hinged. The cover swings on butt hinges and is secured with quick-release latches, so you can open a run for pulling or troubleshooting without dropping a loose cover or chasing screws. That's the practical difference from a screw-cover gutter.
3) How do you mount a 10 foot section of 2-1/2 inch wireway?
It's designed for wireway hanger support rather than direct surface fastening. At 32.462 lb for the 120 inch section, plan hanger spacing so the trough isn't carrying its own weight plus conductors between widely spaced points. Hangers are ordered separately.
4) Will this wireway pass a Canadian electrical inspection?
The 22120-12LW carries CSA C22.2 certification, so it is recognized for use under the Canadian Electrical Code as well as on US industrial jobs.
5) Do I get fittings, couplings, or connectors with this wireway section?
