1) Is the Eaton B-Line 2248-12LW wireway rated for a washdown or oily industrial area?
It's a NEMA 12 enclosure with an oil-resistant gasket under the cover, so it's built for dust, falling dirt, and dripping non-corrosive liquids and oils, typical of machine shops and process floors. NEMA 12 is not a hosedown or outdoor rating, so if the run is exposed to directed water spray or weather you need a NEMA 4 or 3R wireway instead.
2) What are the actual cross-section and length of the 2248-12LW wireway?
The trough is 2.5 inches by 2.5 inches inside cross-section family (a 2x2 style lay-in duct) in a 48 inch length, built from 14 gauge steel. At 2.5 x 2.5 inches the usable fill area is small, so for feeder bundles or large conductor counts step up to a 4x4 or 6x6 wireway body.
