B-LINE 66120-4XSFW – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Is the Eaton B-Line 66120-4XSFW wireway rated for washdown or outdoor areas?
It's a NEMA 4X wireway built from 304 stainless steel with a seamless poured-in-place gasket, so it's intended for wet, corrosive and washdown environments such as food plants, car washes and coastal exteriors. It carries CSA C22.2 certification. If your area is dry indoor only, a painted steel NEMA 1 wireway would normally be the cheaper route.
2) Does this wireway come with couplings, elbows or end plates?
The 66120-4XSFW is a straight 120 inch trough section with its hinged cover and the hinge, screw clamp and stainless hardware that secure it. Connectors, elbows, tees, end plates and the hangers themselves are ordered separately in the matching 6x6 NEMA 4X series, so list those on the same order to complete the run.
3) Does the cover come off completely for pulling wire, or is it hinged?
Hinged. The cover stays attached and swings open, and it's secured by hinges, screw clamps and stainless steel hardware. That's faster for pulling and re-entering a run than a screw cover, and you don't lose the cover on a ladder. If you need full cover removal for a dense pull, a screw-cover wireway is the other option.
4) Will 304 stainless hold up in a chlorine or heavy salt washdown area?
The 66120-4XSFW is 304 stainless, which handles most food and beverage washdown chemistry and general outdoor exposure. In chloride-heavy service (pool chemical rooms, bleach sanitation, direct marine spray), specifiers commonly step up to 316 stainless instead, so check what your spec calls out before standardizing on 304.
5) What gauge and finish is the stainless on this B-Line wireway?
16 gauge 304 stainless with a #4 brushed finish, so it matches the look of stainless panels and food-grade equipment already on the wall.
