The 6660-4XSFW is a NEMA 4X wireway built in 304 stainless steel with a seamless poured in-place gasket, so it is intended for wet, washdown, and corrosive areas like food processing, car washes, and coastal or chemical plants. The poured gasket is what keeps the seal continuous around the hinged cover instead of relying on a cut strip that can shrink at the corners.

It runs 6 inches high by 6 inches wide with a 60 inch length, so a 6x6 trough in a five foot section. Plan your runs in 60 inch increments and confirm the 6x6 cross section gives you the fill area you need for the conductor count.

The cover is hinged rather than screw-on, so it swings open for pulling and dressing conductors without setting a loose lid aside. It is secured by hinges, screw clamps, and stainless steel hardware, which is what lets it re-seat against the gasket for the 4X rating after every access.

The 6660-4XSFW carries CSA C22.2 certification, which is the Canadian standard series inspectors look for on wireway and enclosure products.

Only in dry indoor areas. A NEMA 1 screw cover trough has no gasket and a painted carbon steel body, so it will not hold out hosedown water or resist corrosive atmospheres. Where the environment is wet, washed down, or chemically aggressive, the 304 stainless 4X construction with the poured in-place gasket is what the job calls for.

Body is 16 gauge 304 stainless with a #4 brushed finish, the same satin brushed look used on most sanitary stainless enclosures and equipment, so a run of it lines up visually with stainless panels and control boxes on the same wall.
